Holistic Magazines

I was wondering what are the holistic dog magazines that you all subscribe to and if you like them? I am looking to expand my library and wanted some input about what mags are good and what to avoid. I know that most of them have free trial issues but they take forever to get here. I am still waiting on my trial issue regarding cats and I asked for that back in Jan

I recently picked one up called Animal Wellness, which was quite interesting. I main reason that I decided to buy it was because it had a recipe for natural flea and tick repellant.

Whole Dog Journal, of course.

I'm on a magazine freeze though - I tend to go a little overboard (at one point I had 14 subscriptions!) so I've pared down and now only get 4. That's about all I can squeeze time for in a month (although I may allow myself to subscribe to the Boxer Quarterly, since it only comes 4 times a year).

I do get WDJ and am quite pleased with it. My only gripe is they are so slow sending it out to me.

Jan I saw Animal Wellness online and that is what prompted my asking LOL LOL Do you currently have a copy at home? What are your thoughts on it? Does it seem really helpful and interesting? I just didn't want to spend $20 for only six issues if it isn't a good mag.

Julie what are the other mags you get, are they boxer related at all? I can be a magazine junkie too which is why I am trying to start doing research

I get the Boxer Review (when they decide to send it), and the AKC Gazette. The other one is Better Homes & Gardens.

I used to get DogWorld, DogFancy, YourDog, DogWatch, and probably a couple others I can't think of right now!

I have thought about Marina Zacharias' Natural Rearing newsletter, as I've heard good things about it (www.naturalrearing.com)

Andie I do have a copy at home. I quite like it and I might to tempted to pick up the next issue if I see it. You can always order it and just cancel it after the first copy if you don't like it.
