Three Dog Life

I read this book a while back and wanted to share a little about it. The author, Abigail Thomas, writes about her life after her husband is hit by a car while out walking the dog. He suffers brain damage and she learns how to go on without him, but with the help of two additional dogs. If you have had any dealings with Alzheimers patients (my father-in-law), you'll find some very similar behaviors. It struck home in a number of ways and made me appreciate what my babies give me every day.
It's a rather short book - I think I was 3/4 finished on the train home from NYC.
