Anyone read How Dogs think?

I just bought the book "How Dogs Think: What the world looks like to them and why they act the way they do" by Stanley Coren.

I am not that far into it but I have learned a lot so far. It is really interesting and hard to put down. I even got in trouble last night by my friends when we went bowling and I took the book with me.

Just wondering if anyone else has read it and what you thought about it?

I have it but have only read part of it. Larry has read the whole thing and he really got a lot from it.

I got the book as a gift from my sister-in-law and really enjoyed it. I LOVE the picture on the front--that boxer is adorable! I learned a lot and enjoyed the author's writing style. Easy to read and hard to put down. I don't agree with all of the views in it, but it was definitely interesting.

Sounds like something I might need to put on my Christmas list!

I hope you enjoy it! I am having a hard time reading it because with being a full time student I have other stuff that has to be read but I am having an even harder time not reading it. I find myself reading it in between classes and every chance I can get to read a few words.

I am still in the part of what the world looks like to them, it says about how they use their different senses and that they really aren't color blind. I found it interesting that they can see blues and yellows the best, that would explain why Brady favors some of his toys that are the same but made in different colors. It is really cool. I was also quite interested in how dogs see a tv compared to us humans.

I am not sure that it is going to tell you what your dog is thinking but you will definately learn something from it.
