My babies love to eat soap
OK, I gave Bosco a bath today and the whole time he is eating away the soap. (This isnt a first though, this happens with every bath.) Turning his head and licking it off his back and sides. If he is not eating the soap, he is constantly drinking the water. Which makes bathing very very easy for me!
When I wipe both Bosco and Crash's paws with doggy wipes, they demolish them by licking it to death. I catch Bosco licking my dish towel that hangs from my cabinent all the time. I am now realizing that he licks it because of the dishsoap from us drying our hands.
Growing up with English Bulldogs and Chinese Shar-peis,(Not sure of the spelling) they have never done this. SO I was thinking it might be a Boxer thing.

Garvin likes to drink the bathwater. He used to love to eat soap til one day he stole a whole bar and ate it. Boy was he sick! First he threw up chunks of soap and then this bubbly slimy yuk. And he was feeling very sorry for himself indeed. After that he left the soap alone for a year or so, but the other week he stole another one. I found it in the backyard but it just had a few teeth marks in it. He must have had a taste and remembered!

Bayleigh loves to help in the bath, too! She can also lick the lotion off my legs just about faster than I can rub it in!

Morgan's favorite is my $3 per bar Neutrogena face soap that I use!
It never fails - about 2 or 3 nights a week I see her walk out of the bathroom licking her lips.
Sure enough - my hubby forgets to shut the shower curtain and Morgan has found the soap bowl again!
Oh well...she hasn't eaten a whole bar - not YET anyway!

OMG--Calla too! She drives me CRAZY when I am trying to put lotion on. Some mornings I wonder why I even try cause I know that she has licked it all off. She likes soap too, but lotion better!

When my boy was younger, he stole a bar of soap off the bathroom counter while I was napping, and ate most of it. Once I realized this, I first made sure that the soap wasn't toxic, then spent the rest of the day cleaning up soapy puke. The funny part was, every time he threw up, bubbles would come out of his mouth! He didn't act sick, he would just throw up and be fine, but the bubbles were helarious!!!

Danny ate a bar of soap a few weeks ago. I was clueless until he started doing all his pre-vomiting prep (drinking lots of water, restless, acting put-upon). When he vomited (onto his bed, naturally) it just looked like a lot of foam so I tossed the bed into the washing machine. I didn't find the bar of soap until I threw everything into the dryer!
