Please... I'm sorry,

but my intention was not to 'poke fun' at anyone for asking ANY question. Personally, I ask plenty of stupid questions, and I'll be the first to admit that!

I simply found the 'visual' of a gay dog funny - not any particular dog (or even the described action of Jake - though I did have a flash of that Cheech & Chong movie Still Smoking) - just the overall idea!

Jakethesnake, I do not in the least think anything negative about you, your dog, or your post (other then I thought the topic was funny). I've read several of your posts and found your replies insiteful. But that topic just sent off a stream of visuals that just kept me laughing ("Next on Oprah!"). I wasn't even trying to be directly rude in the signature spoof. But again the topic reminded me of those personal ads one often sees where people descibe themselves - "gay, dark hair, thin, non-smoker, looking for ..."

So... sorry to Jakethesnake (both poster and pet); sorry to Laila (who doesn't need to apologize to the admins for her/his(?) comments); and sorry in advance to anyone who takes life way too serious that they don't see the humor in most all things as I do. Perhaps sometimes I 'talk' long before I think about what it is I'm saying, or how it might be perceived. So for that...

Once again - I'm sorry.

Thank you for your apology, now that you have explained I understand better where you were coming from. Just when I first read your post it just seemed as though you really thought he was stupid for asking such a simple question. The question and the responses have helped me as my chihuahua Cujo does the samething, although I never had the guts to ask the question. So, to Jake the Snake thank you for asking!!!!!!!!

in answer to your question, dogs cannot be gay. mounting or "humping" is not always relative to sexual behavior. majority of the time it is a dominance action. humping the air might be a different variation of the more common mounting. we as humans generally tend to make the mistake of giving our dogs human-like attributes, which is a term called, anthropomorphism.

But being that he is not neutered..make sure you dont redirect him to a female dog, especially an unaltered one. My bf's rotti does that but she's female and she does it to the male.
