If she has fleas, you should be able to see them crawling across her belly. If not, she may have allergies. I would get a hold of your vet and see what they say.

Our boxer, Ali, is 18 months old, and is constantly licking her feet and scrating her ears. The vet doesn't see anything about her feet, but we've been having to clean out her ears once a week with a special solution. She hates it! She really fights us about it, but it has helped.

Sounds like Allergies to me...

there are quite a few members whose dogs have allergies to one thing or another...you may want to look into switching her food...

Use something with a simple ingredient list no fillers, dyes, by products....California Natural is made for dogs with allergies (there are others too i just don't know them off the top of my head) You could also try boosting her immune system a bit with some supplements, vitamin C, Echinacea and of course garlic...

and of course take her to a vet....excessive Itching, scratching, gnawing or even "butt scooting" (you'll know that if you see it) is definately not normal.

Good LUck

Definately sounds like allergies, try to have you vet refer you to a vet who may specailize in skin conditions.
