When a boxer doesn't like you....

The other day my cousin's boyfriend and her came to my house I let them in and I think the dogs figured well I guess it's ok. Ren (as they call him) came in and got the usually sniff down. Everything was cool, until.....
Ren started playing with the kids and kind of wrestling with them and Creed was not happy about it to say the least. He started barking and had a low growl. I warned Ren that he needed to go outside because Creed was being protective of "his kids". About an hr later I was in the bathroom and Ren came in the house. BIG mistake! I came out and Creed had him pinned basically against the front door. He had all 4's on the floor and never jumped or lunged but was looking at him (all 6 ft 3, 220 lbs) and began a very low, very serious growl. I don't think he'll be back for a long time.

Has anyone else's relatives had a close encounter of the boxer kind?

Oh yes. Mine never liked my father-in-law, he has since passed. They have never liked my brother-in-law either. There's been others they didn't care for, but eventually got use to.
Not the in-laws...lol.....I know it's mean to laugh, but I can kind of understand why they didn't.

Thumbs up I agree - trust the boxer

Brutus gets kind of protective with anybody (except me) where the kids are concerned and will "change" his bark like he means business. The boxer (Tuffy) I had when I met my second husband never did like him, actually bit him once (maybe twice). Tuffy never had this problem with anybody else, but I ended up letting Tuffy go live with my uncle and keeping the guy. Big mistake...should have kept Tuffy!! Oh well, live and learn, Tuffy has a great life with people who love him and I got rid of the husband. TRUST your dog...they are always the best judge of charecter
