dig dig dig dig...

Bella is a digger, really big digger, I can let her outside for 30 minutes and she will dog a hole big enough to break a leg in.
I have tried everything. She digs up bushes, landscape timbers, everything that gets in her way. Then she plays in the dirt. Cayenne pepper worked with Napoleon when he was a puppy, doesn't phase her. Putting poop in holes doesnt' work, chicken wire doesn't work... We have had to put railroad cross ties around the fence where she was digging. I can sit outside with her for hours and she will not dig, but the minute I go in the house or around to the front yard, she starts.

Any ideas???

I wouldn't leave her outside unattended. Dempsey also tends to dig when he's by himself. Now, I don't leave him outside by himself. He's out going potty or chasing his ball for fun and exercise, with me out there with him. Otherwise, he's with me in the house.

I agree with the above. If ya can't trust them alone, don't leave them alone. LOL

My pit/boxer Smiley is a fence climber now. After 3 yrs he started his skills again. He used to climb the 20 ft chainlink at the shelter. Once in the yard with my other dogs, he showed no interest. Then he figured it out one day and the moment I go inside, up over the fence he goes. If I'm out there he stays clear.
