New Harness = poor walks?

So we took George to his first vet appointment and he did great. Did not fuss at all during the visit. The vet did mention to gets harness for longer walks since he has a lot of every and pulls a lot. She said the harnes is better for his neck.

So I took him to the local pet store and got him a harness. Again he made no fuss while we fitted it but the walk home was horrible. He would barely move. I had toncary him across a
Cuple of the streets because he just sat down.

I a. Wondering has anyone had this happen when switch ending to a harness? Also should we leave it on him all the time? Or just for longer walks?

I know I should count my blessings that he is pretty mellow since he is only 10 weeks and will benirning down the house soon enough.

My Tyson is a bad walker... But since I got him an anti-pull harness it's not so bad!! Before with just the collar her would pull so much his poor neck would get all red and I can only imagine how sore it must of felt!!

Tyson didn't like the harness at first, but has got just to it... It just hates anything that needs to go over his head!!!

just give him some time. He is just a baby.
You could allow him to wear it when you are not walking that way, he will get used to having it around him.

Good Luck.

He'll get used to it, puppies usually have to learn what wearing collars/harnesses/leashes is all about. Maybe do some sessions where you put it on him in the house and coax him around with some treats. Once he gets over the initial realization that wearing a harness does not actually paralyze him, he should be okay lol. But I wouldn't leave it on him unsupervised because it's pretty easy for dogs to chew them off.
