Adolescence?
Okay, so my Daisy girl had her spay surgery two weeks ago... At first she had a very rough recovery from the surgery, but after a week she was back to her normal self! Then, things started to go downhill - as in, she's turned into a holy TERROR! Suddenly digging up the yard like crazy, jumping and nipping like she did when she first went into training, and completely REFUSING to listen to me at obedience & rally classes.
Is this related to the spay, or is this the infamous "boxer adolescence"? Daisy will be one year old on Monday of next week... Oh my goodness, I love my girl - but she's certainly not acting like a dog who earned her CGC! It's rather embarrassing!

Sounds like she was busy thinking up her game plan when she was at rest! LOL It could be a coincidink that its at the adolescent stage, but sounds like she's heading into it full bore!
Back to the basics and consistently.

She probably had a ton of pent of energy having to stay a little under the radar with activity during her recovery. The nicer weather and longer days might also have something to so with it. Or of course she could have just decided it was time to annoy mom!!
