Pee's in crate

Skylar just turned 1 year old today, but for a couple of months now, she has suddenly started peeing in her crate, now mind you, this started once we started using the AC, could it be that it gets to cold for her or is this a stage they go through right before they turn 1? Also she's usually a very quiet dog but she's been kind of whiney lately, not sure what's going on, has anyone gone through any of these behaviors that came out of no where?

Hello! If it started recently I would start form urinalysis, to rule out infection. Can I ask where is her crate? May be it's just behavioral issue and that is her way of protest to be in the room by herself. We had that problem with Oscar until we moved him to our room.

Thanks for your reply, her crate is in our bedroom so she's not alone, and if is an infection is there any way of taken care of it without spending hundreds of dollars, any home remedies?
