Talking Bury IT

Good afternoon everyone. We are having a good laugh with our 12 week old Chloe over the past few weeks, but this one tops it. A few days ago we gave her a piece of raw hide / Bully stick and after 20 minutes she started to run around the house with it in her mouth and whimpering. Since I can’t speak doggie we followed her around trying to figure out what the problem was. She was trying to bury the raw hide in the house! So we took her outside and then the laughs really started. Not being able to really dig in the grass, she started using her nose to put leaves and sticks over the raw hide! After she buried it, she ran around for a few minutes then walked back over to the hiding spot and sat for a few minutes. Apparently she wasn’t too happy with the location so she grabbed it, took off and buried it agian. Now, when she goes out for potty or a quick run she finds and then hides the raw hide.
Watching her run around at top speed with this hide in her mouth is one of the funniest things she does.
Not only is it good exercise but gives her another good reason to go out for potty.

Now the question, does anyone else's Boxer bury stuff?

Winston is only 18 weeks and he hasn't started burying things...at least not yet. But he is a digger, he has quite the hole going in the backyard. If he keeps it up, he's going to bury himself!

I caught Wyatt doing the same thing with a bully stick a few weeks ago. I went up to him to see if he was digging and I found his nose covered in dirt. I'd never seen a dog push the dirt with their nose...SO cute! I went to get a paper towel to wipe it off but he ahd already licked it off! eww! LOL!

It is increadible the things we find stuffed behind the pillows on the sofa.

Our dogs always love to hide some things for a rainy day. Makes no difference if it is a toy or some form of "edible". They do want to put them away so that they can have them later.
