Question Good questions to ask?

What are some good questions to ask a trainer before deciding to go with them??

- what experience they have
- what have they accomplished with their dogs
- to explain their training philosophy (positive, negative, a mix of both etc)
- ask if you can attend a class to see what they do
- maybe some references

I think that it largely depends on what your goals are for the training and then finding a trainer who will meet those goals.

I guess I will just have to ask what sort of methods they use really, coz I'm worried about a trainer using anything that causes pain, (no matter how mild!).

I'm also worried that they won't listen to what I want for my dog, coz they may have the 'I know best' attitude!!

If they do, keep looking. You are the customer, they should at least listen and try to help you meet your goals.
