Totally agree! I think they tend to enjoy it a bit **too much**

Most of the time, mine can't handle their excitement

So fun how much fun Boston is having!!! i usually change the treats every week: turkey hot dogs, string cheese, a ball he really loves....

Another agility lesson

Saturday afternoon Boston had another agility lesson. He seems to really love it and I've been attempting to learn more about it to see where we go from here.

We started out with the dog-walk. Doesn't think twice about it.....just runs right across. His trainer says its good he wants to run! Then we started approaching it from an angle. hahah A few misses....but then he got the idea of "Oh this is where we are going". This was of course done on the lower dog-walk. Boston decided since he got to be off leash that he would like to challenge himself and then ran up the "big" dog-walk! Ohhhhh Boston. He was so proud of himself. hahah

We practiced weave poles. He is getting a little faster but its still veryyy new. His trainer said he was still "zig-zagging" a little, but that can be fixed with experience. zig -zagging? Maybe he wasn't weaving smoothly? hahah still newto me too!

We worked on jumps and handling. Still a little confused. He will go over one and around the next. hmmmmmmmmmm. We also bought a set of our own jumps so hopefully a little practice at home will help.

He got introduced to the big scary teeter again. Not so scary with wet yummy doggie food on it hahah!

Lets see, we ended with the tunnel. But this time it was wayyy curved and he couldnt see the end. We also did it with a running approach which hes never done...just me at the other end calling him. He went through no problem. I was proud haha.

One thing I need to work on with him is his attention! Oh I know how hard it can be....but to get that dog to focus sometimes takes an act of congress.

His trainer did talk to me about feeding. She said he's doing well and if he really wanted to pursue it he would need to be a little leaner. It would help with his jumps and time? She said she only fed her dogs 3/4 of a cup twice a day!!!!! Hahah Boston would die! This is the first year I could get weight on him so well see!
