Reno, NV. Needs a caring home

I have a 6 year old fawn and white female boxer. She is quite loving and loves people. She just doesn't get along with other dogs. She is a former show dog that didn't quite make it. She is well mannered and obediant. Due to circumstances beyond my control I can't keep her where I live. She needs a great home with no other dogs. She doesn't pay attention to cats. She hasn't been around kids that much but she seems to do well around them. Most of the time she prefers to be attached to your hip. She sleeps with her head on my chest most of the time. She really needs the right home to give her the time and individual care that I can't give her. Please call Kurt at XXX-XXX-XXX or e-mail me at edited by moderator

Did you always have this dog or did you adopt her from someone who used to show her? Is she spayed? If you adopted her are you sure that the person who owned her before doesn't want her back? Have you looked into rescue?

www.boxermap.com Will help you locate a rescue near you who might be able to help.

I am in Reno, NV and would have definitely considered taking her, but I just brought home my 8 week old puppy yesterday! There aren't any boxer rescue orgs in Reno, but there are in Vegas. Or you could also try Chico Boxer Rescue and NorCal Boxer Rescue in California. They are only a few hours away. I hope you are able to find a good home for her!

history

I unfortunately didn't always have her. I adopted her from a friend who adopted her from a breeder. I have had her for three years of her six. I know her temperment very well and she just seems to clash with my brothers doberman. I have contacted her origional owner and they don't want her back. She has been spayed. I have checked out a couple of rescuers in my area and so far have not been contacted back as of yet. I am just having a tough time finding a good home for her. I have turned down a couple of prospects so far. I want to make sure that she goes to a good home. If anyone knows of anyone that is looking for a great dog for companionship and protection she is perfect for them.

I am in Sparks, but I too have two boxers already and my CC&Rs won't allow me to have anymore. But I want to help. Have you been in contact with Tahoe Warf? Their email address is tahoewarf.com. They help dogs and other animals that need homes, they foster animals in home until they are found a good home.

Jodi,
Thanks for the info. I have been trying all the well known places around here. So far I have been coming up with nothing. I will try Tahoe Warf.
Thanks again,

Kurt,

I have asked some people at my work and they are checking it out, but no luck. Hopefully Tahoe Warf is able to help you. Please keep up updated.

Jodi,
I really appreciate that. I know that she would be a good dog for someone. She needs a good home. I just wish that I could have room for her where I live. Let me know if you have anyone in mind.
Thanks
Kurt

Question Still Need A Home???

I live in Henderson which is right outside of Las Vegas. We have been looking around for a boxer to adopt but there are very few available in our area. I'm very new to this website and not sure how to contact you. If you are still looking for a home for your boxer we may be able to help. A photo would be great if you can forward one to me.

Yes my boxer is still available. I need to give her a good home and the best way to contact me is to e-mail me, but I don't know if they will let me post it up here. I will try again so that you can get in touch with me. I do have AIM and my screen name is klstine80 I hope that they won't block it out. My e-mail is edited by moderator I hope to hear from you soon.
