You folks are so wise. I have sent a looooooong email to Green Acres. Let's see what they say. I respect and admire them so will of course be willing to abide by anything they have to say.

Meanwhile, I got a call from my son in LA, he has a buddy that lives a few hours away, much smaller town, quiet area. He thinks this friend may want Duke. If so, I'll be insisting that he agree to keeping a firm routine for my buddy. On the bright side of things he already has a very mellow dog who he is able to take to work with him most day.

I feel a bit like a soap opera, stay tuned - tomorrow is another exciting day. lol

Just wanted to mention that we are not located in Green Bay. I'm not sure why some people get that impression - possibly because of the word "green" in the name, I guess. We are a statewide organization and don't have one specific location.

Just wanted to pass that along.

No idea why I always think Green Bay. I suspect it as you say because of the Green Acres name. Just the same, thanks for clearing it up.

I've had a terrific morning. Got a call from someone who MAY have some interest in Duke. I just emailed a million pictures and hope to hear more soon. Cross your fingers, I'll cross mine, say a few prayers, it'll all work out just as it should for this sweet boy.

A couple people asking for more info about Duke. I'm hoping it will lead to the perfect for home for this sweet boy.

Duke sounds so much like Melvin and has a lot of the same issues. After working through his issues I must say he is the BEST dog ever. Good Luck to Duke.!!!! he deserves a great home

Clearly Melvin has a best bud in you. Love that!

I continue to ask everyone about Duke. I post about him all the time on **************** and talk about him to everyone when I go to networking events for my business. I've made it clear and will continue to make it clear that he deserves a very special home as he's an awesome dog. I know the right home is out there and that he is going to complete an most wonderful family.

Thanks for your encouragement, it's much appreciated.

If you're back in Milwaukee by now, a big group of boxer owners (and their dogs, of course) are meeting at the Rawson dog park this Sunday at 1. Chubs and I plan to be there. It might be another place to bring Indy and/or Duke and see if anyone there is interested. What self-respecting boxer owner doesn't want another one???

Still trying to find the perfect home for Duke. I think it's time to take some pics, post at the vets office (if they will allow it) at the pet store, etc. Again, it will be a really thorough interview, he's only going to the perfect home.

If you happen to know anyone in the area, please let me know.

Thanks so much,
Sandy
