Hoops? Regulations for Adoption to Canada?

Can anyone give us advice on what processes or difficulties we may encounter trying to adopt from the USA to Canada? We saw a sweet guy in a shelter in Washington State - Charlie - and wrote about him, but haven't heard back yet. There are so many to be rescued, especially in California.

Any heads up info would be much appreciated.

I tried too and no one ever answered me, I ended up calling breeders in my area since I was on the waiting list for a while from my rescue, and found some breeders that did rescue work and had a dog for me.

I found this website yesterday and contacted the lady about adopting. She replied right away with an application form for me to fill out. She says that they do some adoptions to Canada (to the right home). We are in Richmond, BC. The rescue is about 5 hours away from us.

Check it out. She said that they get about 15 boxers every 3 to 4 months and they don't post them all up on her website.

I sure hope we get approved. I would love to bring one of these babies home for Lukey to play with. He is itching for a sister! Were gonna call her Leia.

Looks like all you need is a vaccination certificate from a vet. Showing what shots the dog has had.
