Well I agree the dog house sounds awesome, but there does seem to be a bit of sep. anxiety, with a little work (probably less than it took to build doghouse) you can work on it but you'll need help from somewhere, I'd suggest reading some books first, if it doesn't help a trainer or behaviorist can help, in the end your dog will a better dog for it. I only wish my girl had something like that I would never leave her outside during the night but it sounds awesome for during the day, it just seems that maybe the approach you had to introducing your dog to it was a little off, not your fault, he was used to being inside all the time and even though you're giving him a better area in your mind (and mine as well) dogs can take a lot of time and practice to adjust to it and it takes more than time, actually time can be your enemy, It won't get better leaving him out there, but with some training your dog will stop the redecorating. and will be able to just relax and enjoy his new place.
