Before taking the dogs to Myrtle Beach, I would double-check the leash laws concerning dogs on the beach in the summer. We've looked at a few of the bigger beaches and found that dogs are prohibited on the beaches during the summer. It seemed most allowed them in the spring and fall, but not summer. We always take our dogs with us to the beach in the summer. We go to Hatteras Island in North Carolina and have found many cottages that are dog friendly. We always go through
www.outerbeaches.com and every cottage we rented has been nice and clean and the dogs have a great time. On Hatteras Island, the dogs can go to the beach all day, although during the heat of the day, we usually leave them at the house. Jack is white also, and we used baby sunblock lotion on him last summer. He had no problem with sunburn.
