What kind of dog is like a boxer?
Okay, I know the first answer is that no type of dog can replace a boxer....but please, if you can help.
As some may know, my boxer passed away two weeks ago. I am researching a new dog. Currently, I am listed with three good boxer breeders and may have a puppy in April or May. However, I was asked if I had looked at other breeds. And yes, I have, but I like the boxer personality very much. What I have a tough time with is the lack of longevity of boxers. This breed is expected to live to only 10. Some earlier. Some a little later.
What other breeds would you say are like boxers? I have heard that Standard Schnauzers have similar personalities. Lookswise they are very different.
Any other thoughts?
