I do believe in second chances, but I hate liars.
Trust is a serious issue & once it's gone it's extremely hard to regain.
I always say that when someone cheats on you it's not personal, it's just because somewhere inside of them they have a void.
Love hurts, we all know this. You are learning lessons right now whether or not you choose to see them right now.
Sometimes we forgive because it's easier on our hearts, but the ache that you feel can be prolonged if you take the wrong road & stay with someone you know deep down you can never really forgive.
I'm sorry for your pain, but I feel that in your current situation you probably only want to hear that everything will be okay with him from now on.
Just remember the old saying, 'There are plenty more fish in the sea'.
Don't sell yourself short.
It's a tough call because it's heart vs head time, & us human beings like to take the easy route everytime - even if it's not doing us any good.
