Is it common for breeders to trade their dogs? I understand that Dam breeders often give pick of the litter to the Sire owners but do they trade their Dams? Since we have been acquainted with our breeder (5 weeks) she has bought, sold and traded four pups, a Sire and two Dams. I've never worked w/ a breeder and I am totally cluesless to the workings of the dog business but it does make me a little uneasy. Thanks for any insight into this.
