Boxer Town
Boxer Town
Gina Fisher
I've never been to Boxer Town
But I know I'd love to go -
I hear the streets are paved with treats
And love is all they know.
In Boxer Town, you know it's true,
The crate door never locks.
And, I hear tell, it's true as well
There's a giant supply of socks.
There are no fears in Boxer Town
For no one hits or maims.
The bowls are filled, the bad dreams stilled;
No one's ever left on chains.
It's a happy place, full of love -
Where a kidney bean dance lasts for days.
I could jump and run and just have fun
Exploring, in my boxer ways.
I know I'll see my friends, there, too,
In boxer town, so fair -
Do not cry for me, for I will be
In heaven, should I be there!
If I go to Boxer Town
I'll be waiting there for you;
And in my heart, 'though we'd be apart,
You'd be here with me, too.
So when I cross that special bridge
With rainbow colors flying,
I hope to be found in Boxer Town
Where there is no need for crying
