I am so happy for you!!!!!!!!!! I rescued an abused puppy when he was about four months old. Maybe I can help. First off, it took a little longer than expected to get him potty trained. Of course this was probably more our fault. We were not planning on getting him and we were much lazier than we were with Muggs. Just remember abused puppies just need a lot of love to make up for what they suffered. He is getting really a lot better at potty training now. We have gone almost a week with no accidents (I am knocking on a very large peice of wood now) Love that baby and know that Leo saved her for you.
