Coccida from eating cat poop?
I swear that my dog Giguere has more problems! I took him over to my mom's the other day and caught him eating cat poop out of her garden. Well, the cat was just diagnosed with Coccida and I don't know how old the cat poop was or how long the parasite lasts once it has left the cat's body. I did a search but nothing addressed this issue. Everything I've read says that once the immune system is mature, there is no real threat but I don't know if he's mature yet, he's not quite a year old. Shall I just wait and see if he has any symptoms (the big "D") before freaking out? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
