She had a terrible night last night--lots of pain, so I called the vet today and just got back. It is so hard to part with her, but I knew I couldn't stand to see her suffering any more like she suffered last night. I honestly didn't think it would happen so soon that I would have to make this decision. I feel some relief for her, but Samantha and I are sad. Samantha went with me to say good-bye to Pepper. They lay Pepper on the floor after it was over, and Samantha lay down next to her, and the vet cried with me.
