everyone gave wonderful advice.
is it possible for you to begin using baby gates in order to separate your children and him when you can't be in the room with them?
they are a giant pain sometimes as my shins can attest(from falling not so gracefully over ours) but, it is very nice to have in those times when you just can't be in the same room with everyone.
