Max will finish his 6 week puppy school next week. We needed to provide proof of his second set of shots. The instructor was outstanding. She said it wasn't really training at this age, just a sort of prelude to it.....we used treats, which won't be used in the real training classes, but the idea was to show the pups that training could/would be fun. It was an hour class - the first 30 minutes she talked about various dog care subjects, the next 25 minutes we were on the floor with our pups.....sit-down-sit-stand combo, come, sit-stay, down-stay and a bit of heeling. The last 5 minutes were worth the fee itself.....puppy play!!! Pups off the leash and owners told to stay in their seats.....if the bullies/victims got out of control, the instructor would step in (you can guess who was perceived as the bully in our class!!!) The first puppy play, Max had just about every other pup on the run! Oh, who am I trying to kid.....EVERY class Max has them on the run

I'd assume all puppy classes have play time, so best to have them at least 4 months.
Novice classes start in July for 6months and older, and Max will definitely be attending.
