Not quite separation anxiety but......

Ok, here is the deal with our little Wrigley pup. We got her a week ago and all is going great. I believe she is starting to get used to her surroundings and is becoming less clingy in the yard and in the house. We have to keep our eyes open for when she darts to another room and sometimes she does not want to come in....this is all great and I am happy for this.

But, when she is confined to her area she moans and wails. I am sure all of here are familiar with this. Anyways, she does not show any of the classic signs of separation anxiety, I just think she is sad about being limited in her movement.

Now, obvioulsy she will have to deal with it because I cannot let a 7 wk old puppy roam the house for four hours at a time (I come home for lunch), but what are some tips to get a pup to at least tolerate her personal space. We have some favorite toys in there, we have sat and played with her in this area, we have her crate with a comfy bed in there along with a stuffed Kong. Any other ideas or will both sides just have to deal with it for awhile.

Thanks in advance.
