I know there is a breeder here in east PA that is breeding specifically black boxers. Which is a HUGE NONO! This breeder keeps breeding sealed brindles to acheive the blackest ones and of course, inner-breeding them to get even mutated black ones. When I saw one, I was so heart broken. It looked like a tall boston terrier on steriods. No brindling whatsoever, solid black with flashy paws and chest. The owner was an idiot and paid $4000 for this "rare boxer" and when I tried to tell him about the poor breeding practices he argued every point. I gave up and just walked away shaking my head.

I am sure there are other bad breeders doing this. Again, breeding horribly to achieve mutated dogs just for the purpose of money. And yes, these dogs are AKC registered and listed as black on their papers. Thanks AKC for promoting this type of wreckless breeding. I can't imagine what type of genetic issues and diseases these poor dogs will end up with.
