STILL peeing wherever she feels like it!
We've had Stella for 6 months now. She's 13 months old, and got her through a rescue. The family that turned her over said she was potty trained... we are STILL struggling with it, and it only seems to be getting worse. She'll sometimes do really well for a few weeks, then have a few accidents... we've shampooed the carpets, we always soak the stains with Nature's Miracle, an enzymatic cleaner. Normally, she's at the dog park for a good hour to an hour and a half daily, but now that the weather is warmer, she overheats WAY too easily, and if she isn't worn out, she's got FAR too much energy...and I've definitely noticed a connection to how often she goes in the house and how much park-time she's had. We live in a townhouse, so the park is where she expels most of her energy. I now have her tethered to me, but this really isn't very feasible, because of her energy level. I've taken her out on the hour before, and she improves for a bit, but then, slides back to sneaking off and going wherever she feels like. She's smart enough, she'll ring the bell on the door when she has to poo, and she never does that inside...Our townhouse is 4 levels, and I've blocked off other levels, but she'll pee anywhere. Also, I've noticed when she's at the park, she'll sometimes pee 6 or 7 times while we're there, so I don't know why she does that, either. (I've taken her to the vet, everything checks out.) I don't know what to do, but our carpets are trashed and we're at our wits end. PLEASE help. I'm about to tear my hair out.
