I actually used to use a harness similar to this for my dog in flyball and stopped because I noticed that it interfered with her extention over the jumps. There was also some debate a while back on the CleanRun Agility board over whether a harness of this style was a good choice for activities that require the dog have full range of motion. I believe the general concensus was that straps that run across the shoulder were better avoided.
