When Lily was almost 2, she was attacked by a white GSD. It was pretty bad. It has taken 3 yrs now of diligent and continuous training for Lily to trust other dogs again, though she is still leary. BUT any white dog sets her off big time! I don't think it has anything to do with breeds, but the color of the dog for her. Even a white shihtzu will cause her strife.

I have to agree with what Cami said.....I would bet it was her unsocialized dog that set off the first incident. If the owner has apprehensions about other dogs, then one can assume that socializing the dog is very few and far between, causing a hyperanxious dog that is extremely fearful and possibly acting out.

Well, now you know that her dog is off the play list.......and not a bad thing given the dog's reactiveness. Your guys will be better off without her.
