So last night my sons were at their dads. At about 11pm, the cops beat on his door. So my ex opens the door to find out what they want, and the cops want to look for someone in his apartment. He tells them no, no one is there but him and his kids who are sleeping. He moves to close the door, and they start yelling to put your hands up and force their way in. He said there was 5 cops charging at him. They then proceed to wake up my kids!

All this because they say they were looking for someone who they say ran up the stairs. I have no idea what crime this suspect did that they were looking for him over, but if the police didn't see him go in that door, I thought they had to have a warrent to enter against your wishes. Especially since there are 2 apartments.

So obviously my ex is livid. What should he do about this?
