I would also add to your plea about obsticles causing fighting within small, confined areas. That too many dogs (in this case, two is probably one two many) having to maneuver obstacles cause dogs to become anxious, nervous and defensive which WILL cause fights amongst unfamiliar dogs. It is a huge liability on them if any dog is possibly injured due to their lack of knowledge behind the "dog patch", um I mean "park". LOL
A larger, more open space with a shade tree would have been money better spent for them. Plus, it being a dog park, they certainly wouldn't want the neighborhood kids to enter it mistakingly thinking it's a kids park with the equipment. Risk of kids getting/spreading diseases, getting hurt on the equipment or by a dog within the park, etc.
It was a really nice gesture to make their home owners feel welcome and being dog friendly, but with a little bit of research, they can save themselves money and hassles.
