Typically between 8 and 12 weeks you feed 4 times a day from 12 weeks to 6 months it's 3 and from 6 months on it's 2. So for you I'd say to wait until 6 months then switch to twice a day.
I have always fed twice a day once my dogs reach 6 months old and never had any issues whatsoever doing this.
