We are the proud owners of a 9 week old boxer puppy (boy) and he's pretty good about doing his business outside as long as we're diligent about getting him outside. Overall I'm pretty happy with his progress, but am wondering what to do about overnight.

Currently I let him out around 11:00 or 11:30 but he'll always go once overnight. I usually let him out again between 6 and 6:30am. Do you folks generally get up in the night to take a new puppy outside, or is it ok to leave them in their crate overnight?

Just want to make sure we're doing things 'correctly'.

He's such a great dog, and my kids are obsessed with him (and vice versa).
