Our CC was six when we brought Roxy home (at 8 weeks). CC took to the puppy without any problems. There are times when Roxy will bug CC and if CC doesn't want to play or just wants to be left alone, she just gets up and walks away.
I agree with Caney Creek that as long as you give Mugsy plenty of love and attention they will probably grow inseparable.
