If ACE is going to be a problem for any particular dog is it most often seen initially. It isn't something that you give today and then causes a problem days weeks or months later. That being said if a certain dog does fine on it with a dose TODAY it can still have complications from it if used in the future.
I personally would NOT give any more. But that is just me. I would be at the vets office when they open tomorrow demanding a different drug. I would also print out any number of articles about its use in Boxers and hand it over to the vet. It would also be included in my dogs file.

The problem lies with the lack of contradictions on the use label of the drug. THERE ARE NONE pertaining to Boxers. Hopefully someday that will change. For now all we can hope is that we have a vet who honors our wishes and does not use it when we request that it not be used. We can also hope that more and more vets become educated about its potential problems used with Boxers.
