This probably would not work with garbage trucks but Nick is good with targeting he learned touch. So with strangers he is intrested in but unsure of he goes up and touches their shoe. He gets clicked and treated by me and it has turned into a great game for him. Scary people have turned into treat getters. I don't ask him to touch he does it on his own I just noticed that was what he was choosing to do and renforced the behavior.
