57lb for a 9-10 month old boxer doesn't seem particularly small. Bear in mind that an
adult (that is, 2-3 year old) male boxer is likely to weigh around 65-70lb - if he is correctly sized. You can't expect an adolescent to have anything like the muscle tone of an adult, and at 9-10 months he's a long way from finishing growing even skeletally. Without having any idea of his height, your 57lb dog sounds every bit as though he's going to be a correct, not small, boxer
newboxerpup: your pup may be a bit smaller than some others of his age, but (like people) dogs can grow at very different rates. An 8 month old pup is 4-6 months away from even finishing growing in height, let alone filling out and gaining his adult muscle mass. As long as he is bright and healthy, I really wouldn't worry but instead just sit back and let nature take its course. By about the 12-14 month mark, you'll have a better idea of what his adult frame is going to be like (though you'll still have to wait a further 1-2 years to see the finished product).
