Okay I have been reading and "hunting" for a boxer baby. We decided to go with a baby because since we have four kids and a cat we were not sure about rescue and then find out the new guy does not do well with the cat. She (Allie) is part of the gang so she has to stay and we want a forever dog!

So with that said last night we stopped at the pet store at the mall. ( I know....no flames please.....we just stopped by to watch the puppies play and long enough for me to say if I had enough money I would take them all home cause I don't like to see them in those small little crates). Well there were two boxers and we inquired about the male. I had him a play room and my hubby said I am going to ask about his health guarantee so I said okay. Well it turns out he put down half the money for the pup. It was suppose to be a surprise but he is not good at keeping secrets so he told me about a half an hour after we left. I know this is taking a risk (and we can not afford to just walk away from that money) but I love this little guy. I went back today to visit him. He comes home tomorrow. I am looking for some input on what to have for him here at the house. This is what we have so far

puppy food
piddle pads
crate with a divider
travel crate for the car
toys
leash
collar
harness
food dish
water bowl
treats

I think we should get a blanket or something to put in his crate but at the same time I don't want him to get hurt chewing it. Any suggestions?
