A year without my Ailis Girl...

Today marks a year since my sweet Ailis Girl went to the bridge. She died of BCM and was gone in a minute. We were out running as usual with her brother and her friends-an hour later she was gone-I hate that disease and what is does to our precious breed. Ai was sweeter than sweet-she never barked or growled or fussed and she loved to play. Every new dog she met was just another friend waiting to happen. She had boundless energy and could make a game out of a piece of paper. Ailis loved to travel and she did home visits for Boxer rescue and sized up folks to make sure they deserved a boxer baby. She was the closest thing to human I have ever seen in a dog and so compliant and quick in obedience she made others downright jealous. From the moment I got her she was "mine" and her devotion to me was amazing. She would rather sit in the car and wait for me while I did errands than stay home and greeted me with the same joy everytime she saw me. Someone wrote we should "run with joy in your heart" and that was Ai. She just never had a bad day and you could not have one if you were around her. I will miss her always. Stay safe at the bridge baby girl. Mama, Papa, and Fraze miss you and love you. May your spirit soar Ai Girl-there will never be another like you
